The film will be Like Water for Chocolate, a 1992 Mexican romantic drama in the style of magical realism. The title is a translation of a Spanish phrase which means having one’s emotions simmering almost to the point of boiling over.
The action takes place in Mexico in the early years of the twentieth century, when tradition prevents Tita from marrying the man she loves, and she discovers she has a unique talent for cooking, expressing her emotions through her kitchen.
